BTW: Many of these books were translated into English, and she retold them all to be:
  • loved by grown-ups
  • loved by children
  • loved  learning to read and
  • loved learning to love to read.

Shirley  recently finished I am Jack, a "factional" biography of Scottish-Canadian Dr Thomas Neill Cream, a Victorian physician hanged in London as a serial killer of (probably) prostitutes. You may have heard of him before under what is, probably, the world's  most infamous pseudonym: Jack the Ripper..

She was lastly planning and working on the third volume of a trilogy, a sweeping saga of Life, Times and War Adventures in George III's London, Colonial America and lastly in Europe under Napoleon. The first book was entitled "Paradise Walk", the second book is "The American Salute". The third will  be her final sequel, called "The French Salute

Nothing if not eclectic, Shirl (now called Shirltiti, [probable] descendant of [probable] Pharaoh Nefertiti)  was also responsible for training Gavin Embry how to edit their super-positional, instantaneous correspondence and journalistic memoirs of  Amy Black P. Katt and Amber P. Katt, two feline sisters who combined their unusual talents  to get the story, wherever and whenever it happens to happen:  A Teleport too far!.
